The answer for these troubled times.

Second Post, I feel like I should be saying "captain's log, star date 75324, this is our ....." I am reminded today as I have been over the last few weeks and even months that despite the news and the nay sayers there is hope in these trying and difficult financial times. There is a strong refuge and the righteous run in and they are saved. The door is always open the question is who will run in and be saved. It is not our Lord's ability to keep us because His word says that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. He is able to keep those His father has given him. Really the question is, will you be saved? He asks me the same question.. Ordinary Dad will you be saved? My response is ineveitabley, yes!! There are times that I have to address whatever is in my life but I say YES!! God is well able to save all who come to Him through His son Jesus, will we accept the terms of the agreement? There is a "gospel" that states that it won't cost you anything to come to Him. It is a message that doesn't require anything on your part because "He has already done it all". Yes, that is correct to a point. He has done the work. He has paid the price, salvation has been purchased for all who will come through Him to the Father, Its the terms of the "coming" that can get a little hairy. All of me for all of Him. Paul figured this out when he wrote that he no longer lived but the life he did live he lived for the one who had died and had given himself for Paul. I have been bought with a price and as my Lord He has all rights to my life I give up my rights. It is really very simple.. All of me for all of you. If you can't accept the terms of this agreement then there is no agreement. There is no plan B, no door number 2. This or nothing. But let me ask you this anyway. Why resist hanging on to a life that doesn't work? Why keep something that is flawed and riddled with imperfections? Your life will take you and it to Hell. His life will translate you out of the kingdom of darkness and translate you into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love. When I accept the terms of this agreement all the resources of Heaven are available to me. Why? because I am now adopted as a son. All the same rights and priveldges enjoyed by Jesus as son are mine as well. Jesus really did the same thing. He did not consider equailty with God something to be valued but humbled himself and took on the form of human flesh. He died a death here on the earth and was exalted to the highest place of all. He learned obedience through the things he suffered. The servant is no greater than the master.

To summarize, The answer to this difficult time is not the unemployment line, the government cheese line or the bathroom line for that matter... though all are good and have there place. We need to run to Him. Psalms 91 is very clear.. "because he has set his love on me I will rescue him and show him my salvation." Our Lord's salvation is complete, He saves our spirit from eternal damnation, he saves our body from the effects of sin and sickness and he saves our soul (our emotions) from fear and worry and all other forms of goofiness. If your heart troubles you while watching the news, don't watch the news. Turn off the TV, nothing has changed, Turn to our Lord through His word. Jesus said to the women with the issue of bleeding, "Your faith has healed you". Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Your situation will improve because you no longer seek your own will but you seek the will of Him who loved you and gave himself for you. How can he not save completely all them who come to him?
